9th Grade Checklist

Things you should be doing


Monitor high school credits. Be sure to meet all NISD and Texas State Requirements. See Graduation requirements.

Research dual credit and Advanced Placement (AP) courses that you may want to take during your 10th grade and 11th grade years.    These course could give you college credit while still in high school.

Keep a list of awards, honors, community service hours and extracurricular activities for scholarship and college applications.

Recognize that most college entrance requirements include rigorous advanced coursed including Algebra II, high –level science courses and languages other than English.

Explore interests and take advantage of career day opportunities.

Research colleges or universities you are interested in attending and be sure to attend our District College Fair..
